Since microbiology is a diverse field, students need to study pathology, immunology, virology, parasitology, epidemiology, evolution, and diversity in microbiology in addition to microbial physiology, genetics, pharmaceutical, agricultural, food microbiology and microbial ecology. Since microbiology is a subject that relies heavily on laboratories, our curriculum encourages laboratory components.
Facilities exist in the department for teaching and conducting practical.
