Department of English, PG Centre ,Wanaparthy is functioning under the control of Palamuru University since 2008. Previously it was under affiliation of Osmania University since 2002. One of the three Experienced Faculties is the In charge Head of Dept. English PG Centre, Wanaparthy, Named Dr. R. Shiva Aditya and another two faculties are Dr.T.Krishnaiah and Mr. B Hanuman Das. With the help from our Professors, organizes a range of interdisciplinary Talks, Seminars, Lectures, Film Screenings, Exhibitions, discussions and workshops through the year. These interactive, multimedia events encourage students to engage critically and creatively with ideas and issues connected with and also beyond the curriculum. Students are exposed to a vast range of subject experts drawn from a wide swathe of professions and field of interests scholars, creative writers, artists, film makers, journalists, performers, activists etc. which help develop critical thinking as well as professional opportunities.
MA in English extensively covers topics from English Literature which primarily focuses on Poetry, Prose, Drama , Literature and Film and Literary Criticism. English Language Teaching. Considering the fact that Literature itself is a vast subject, students are given the opportunity to select electives and opt for a specialization of their choice. After completing an MA in English, one can choose to pursue PhD in English or can start working in various sectors such as Teaching, Journalism, Language Translator etc.
