Department Profile
The Department of Chemistry was established as one of the central departments of the PG Center Wanaparthy in the year o 2014-2015. It offers M.Sc. courses with specializations; organic chemistry. The Department is one of the leading Educational Research Centres in the Palamuru University. The Department is training Post-Graduate students in Chemistry to incorporating latest developments in all the areas of Chemistry including the present thrust area of Drug Chemistry.
The Department of Chemistry has well qualified and experienced faculty. Almost all the staff members are directly involved in both research and teaching at the P.G. level. The class-room teaching and laboratory training are meticulously planned and executed by the devoted and expert faculty of the Department.
Many leading pharmaceutical industries visit the department for campus placements and many of our students are well placed. Many of our students are qualifying in national as well as state level eligible tests. One of our student received gold model as university topper in the year of 2018-2020.
Student enrolment in post-graduate courses in chemistry through a common entrance test. The intake of students in M.Sc.(Previous) was 30 until 2020 currently it is 40.
