The main reason to establish the department in this University is present of different types of medicinal plants and endangered plant species in and around the university campus and it is easy to the students to get the practical knowledge regarding the subject and most of the students who are joining in this course they have previous knowledge regarding the agriculture, plant diseases and medicinal importance of some rare medicinal plants which are available in this locality.
The Department offers M.Sc. Botany Programme with the following Specialization
- Applied Mycology & Molecular Plant Pathology
- Faculty members of the department are actively participating in workshops, Conferences and Seminars.
Programmes offered-Students' Intake
- M.Sc Botany Programme is offered by the Palamuru University from the year 2013. The intake of the department is 30(Thirty students).
